A clear desk does wonders for your focus. No tangle of cords, no hunting for the right cable, just a clean surface where your phone tops up the moment you set it down. Cygnett’s wireless desk chargers make that the everyday norm.
Our range covers slim charging pads, upright stands, and 2-in-1 and 3-in-1 stations that power your phone, watch and earbuds at once. And with options that fold for travel, they’re a tidier way to keep your fave devices charged.
A tidier desk starts with wireless charging
Cords pile up fast in a busy workspace setup. A wireless charger cuts that mess back to a single base. Here’s why it deserves a spot on your desk:
- You drop your phone on the pad and walk away, with no fumbling for a cable.
- One-hand placement lets you keep working while your phone charges.
- Fewer cords on show keeps your desk looking sharp.
- A tidy surface frees up space for your other devices.
- Fewer loose cables means less risk to your devices from spills and knocks.
How a wireless desk charger keeps your devices powered
A wireless desk charger uses two copper coils to move power across a small gap. One coil sits in the charger, and one sits in your phone. When they line up, an electromagnetic field passes energy over and tops up your battery.
A small chip inside manages the flow for a safe, steady charge. This is the basis of Qi wireless technology, the standard most smart phone manufacturers now build into their wireless charging handsets.
The charging standards worth knowing before you buy
Before buying a wireless charger, you need to know what charging standard your phone supports. Right now, there are three: Qi, Qi2, and MagSafe Qi is the original standard. Qi2 builds on it with magnetic alignment and faster charging. MagSafe is Apple's proprietary magnetic system, and it works just like Qi2. This magnetic alignment locks your phone onto the exact spot over the coil, so you never get a dead charge from poor placement.
Most Android flagship phones now support Qi2, while iPhones also work with MagSafe. Older iPhones, from the iPhone 8 to iPhone 11, support Qi wireless charging, but they do not have MagSafe alignment.
Our wireless desk chargers cover Qi, Qi2 and MagSafe, which makes them universally compatible across iPhones, Apple Watches, AirPods and Android phones with Qi2 support.
If your iPhone charges wirelessly but has no MagSafe magnets, you may need a magnetic phone case to hold it on a magnetic wireless charger.
Find the right wireless desk charger for your setup
The right pick comes down to your desk space and how many devices you charge. Our wireless desk chargers come in a few formats:
- A wireless charging pad lays flat and suits anyone who wants a simple spot for a phone or AirPods.
- A wireless charging stand props your phone upright for video calls and FaceID while it charges.
- A 2-in-1 station charges your phone and AirPods together.
- A 3-in-1 station powers your phone, Apple Watch and AirPods or AirPods Pro at once.
- A foldable charger flattens into a pad and packs down for travel.
Think about your available space, the number of devices you charge, and the look you want before you choose.
How fast will your devices charge?
Fast wireless charging tops out at 15W, and many of our Qi2 chargers deliver exactly that. At that speed, a base iPhone 17 charges fully in around 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Your device sets the ceiling, though. Newer iPhones generally accept up to 30W, while smartwatches and AirPods pull only 3W to 7W. So even when a charger puts out 15W, each device draws at its own maximum wattage input and no faster.
Case thickness, alignment on the pad and the wall charger you use can also affect the speed, though our pads charge through phone cases up to 3mm thick.
Note that smaller and thinner iPhone models, like the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini, have a maximum wireless charging speed of 12W. So, even if you place them in a 15W charger, they will only draw up to 12W.

FAQs
1. Can I use a wireless desk charger if my phone doesn't support wireless charging?
No. A wireless desk charger only works with phones that support wireless charging.
2. Why won't my phone charge when I place it on the pad?
Usually it is alignment. The coil in your phone needs to line up with the coil in the wireless charger, so nudge it until the charging icon shows. A thick or metal phone case can block the signal too, so try removing it. Also check that the wall charger is plugged in and the cable is seated.
3. Do I need a special wall charger to run a wireless desk charger?
You need a wall charger that meets the wattage the charger asks for. For 15W fast wireless charging, a 20W or 25W adapter works best.
4. Do I need MagSafe for wireless charging?
Not necessarily. MagSafe is Apple's magnetic standard, but any phone with Qi or Qi2 support charges on Cygnett’s wireless desk chargers.
