Start with how you charge. If you use a magnetic Power Bank, a car mount or a wireless charging stand, you want a MagSafe compatible case with magnets that align properly. A case without magnets makes wireless charging slower and far less reliable.
Then look at the camera. A raised bezel around the lens housing keeps the glass off the table, and that one detail prevents most of the scratches people end up complaining about.

Will an iPhone 17 case fit the iPhone 18 Pro?
Cases made for the iPhone 17 are not designed to fit the iPhone 18 Pro. Camera housing, button placement and body dimensions change between generations, and small differences are enough to block lenses or weaken magnetic alignment.
