Stay ready with portable power stations built for the Australian lifestyle

That's exactly why we built the Cygnett Roam Power Station range. It's our purpose-built portable Power Station lineup designed for Aussie camping trips, road trips, off-grid adventures, and even work-from-anywhere setups. So whatever your power needs, we've got a power solution for you.

What is a portable Power Station?

A portable Power Station is a high-capacity rechargeable battery pack. It stores electrical energy and delivers it through multiple output ports, including AC outlets, USB-C, USB-A, or DC charger outputs.

So, what’s the difference between a portable Power Station and a Power Bank?

A Power Bank is ideal for recharging small devices like phones, laptops, and Bluetooth earbuds. A portable Power Station goes much further. It can run appliances like mini fridges, power tools, and even a CPAP machine.

And unlike a petrol generator, it runs cleanly and quietly with no fumes, making it safe to use indoors and at campsites.

What can a portable Power Station actually power?

This depends on which Cygnett model you choose.

The 200W, 102Wh portable Power Station is your go-to for everyday essentials. It can recharge smartphones, laptops, fans, LED lights, cameras, and small camping devices, like air pumps.

The 1,000W, 614Wh portable power station steps it up for serious backup power. It can power small to medium appliances, like a mini fridge, a speaker, and a coffee machine. It's built for longer camping trips, caravan setups, power outages, and job sites that demand a reliable power supply on the go.

While they are compatible with a wide range of devices, they are not ideal for large appliances that produce heat, like heaters, cooktops, microwaves, and air conditioners.

Why Cygnett’s portable Power Station is the best in Australia

The Roam Power Station range is packed with features that make it the best portable Power Station for Aussies:

Advanced LiFePO4 battery: This is one of the safest and most stable lithium battery chemistries available. You get a longer lifespan, better thermal stability, and up to 3,000 complete charge cycles.

Pure sine wave inverter: Built-in pure sine wave inverter delivers clean, stable AC output that mirrors the power grid. Your devices can run safely without risk of damage.

Multiple output options: AC outlets, USB-C ports, USB-A ports, and a car charger output let you charge multiple devices simultaneously.

Fast charging: Recharge the Power Station from 0 to 100% in approximately 1 hour via USB-C.

Expandable capacity: Pair the 1,000W Power Station with up to two 614Wh expansion battery packs to triple your total capacity from 614Wh to 1,842Wh.

Solar charging compatibility: Connect Cygnett's 100W solar panels for off-grid solar charging. MPPT technology optimises solar power for maximum efficiency even in variable sunlight.

1-year warranty: Every Roam Power Station comes backed by a 1-year Cygnett warranty.

Choosing the portable Power Station that works for your setup

A few key considerations will point you to the right model:

Capacity and watt-hours: The 200W, 102Wh model suits short trips and light use. The 614Wh model is better for extended off-grid adventures or as emergency backups.

What appliances you need to run: The 200W Power Station handles anything under 200W, like phones, laptops, and fans. The 1,000W model powers mini fridges, blenders, and other small to medium appliances.

Portability: The 200W model weighs just 2kg, making it perfect for campers and travellers needing a lightweight power pack. The 1,000W model weighs 8.5kg and comes with a carry handle, so it's still easy to move between the car, campsite, or worksite.

How do you charge a portable Power Station?

There are three ways to recharge the Cygnett Roam portable Power Station:

1. AC wall charging is the fastest option at home. The 200W model charges at up to 120W and the 1,000W model at up to 700W. Both models come with an AC charging cable.

2. Solar charging pairs either model with Cygnett's 100W ETFE folding solar panels. With MPPT technology, these panels maximise solar charging efficiency even in variable sunlight, making this the ideal portable solar generator for campers, caravanners, and road trippers across Australia.

3. Car or DC charging lets you recharge on the move via your car's 12V outlet, so you always arrive at the campsite with a full power pack.

How long do portable Power Stations last?

It depends on what you're running. To estimate it, multiply your Power Station's watt-hours (Wh) by 0.85, then divide by the running watts of your device.

For example, a 60W laptop running off the 614Wh model gives you roughly 8.7 hours of runtime. A 40W fan running off the 102Wh model runs for just over 2 hours. Keep in mind that heat-generating appliances like coffee machines and power tools draw significantly more watts and reduce runtime faster.
